Join the South Carolina Archival Association for its virtual Summer Social on food and beverage history in the Carolinas, Thursday, July 15th, from 3-5pm on Zoom.

 

Our three guest speakers are:

  • The Well Crafted NC team from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro on the craft brewing industry in North Carolina
  • T.J. Wallace from South Carolina Humanities on the travelling exhibit, “South Carolina: The Food We Celebrate”
  • David Shields, UofSC Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Carolina Gold Rice Foundation, on the archival dimension of lost foods and recipes

 

We will have plenty of time for questions and socializing after the presentations. We have also created a living resource guide for archival materials, books, articles, living history farms, and other resources on South and North Carolina food and beverage history. Please add in your own collections and resources!
