The CONTENTdm Southeast User Group is accepting proposals to present preconference workshops and concurrent session programs at its 2011 Annual Meeting,  May 11-13 at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. Please consider participating as a speaker or part of a panel discussion. Proposals are due by February 21, 2011.

Preconference workshops - Wednesday, May 11 (3 hour programs)
Preconferences are workshops that focus on a particular subject of
interest.  These programs should allow participants to develop skills on
the topic and should focus on interactive learning. Preconferences that
offer practical tips and cutting-edge techniques are encouraged.
These sessions will be targeted to intermediate to advanced CONTENTdm
users and could include formal presentations, hands-on workshops, panel
discussions, or roundtable discussions.

Concurrent sessions – Thursday, May 12th
Proposals may be submitted for an individual or group 1 hour presentation/panel discussion or a
30 minute show and tell.

Suggested topics include but are not limited to:
● Interface customizations such as navigation, EAD, comments, tagging,
API customization basics ● Hosted CONTENTdm instances ● Local CONTENTdm
instances ● Workflows and project planning ● CONTENTdm as an
Institutional Repository ● Humanities/history collections in CONTENTdm ●
CONTENTdm and the web - analytics, search engines, promotion,
advertising of site, Wikipedia, flickr, OAIster, and online catalog
access to collections.● Beyond the Flatbed scanner - could talk about digital cameras.
● Digital Preservation - practical ideas for everyday ● Consolidating
collections - reaching your CONTENTdm limit ● Collaboration and grant
funding
